The busy period

Like one of Johan Elmander’s early-season personal development review meetings, the Kenna is reaching a shuddering climax. And similarly this week’s update email, just as the Polonia manager said to Johan in a hastily-arranged follow-up meeting afterwards, is ‘a day late’.

All of which means that Peter Crouch’s own goal last night will not count against Lokomotiv Tooting’s points total this week, but Scharwzer’s five-goal deficit on Monday certainly will.

Incidentally, known as ‘El Esparag’ in Spain because of his stature, is it any wonder that Crouch’s single-handed unravelling of Tottenham’s season has come during the height of the English asparagus season?

No doubt his wee smells a bit.

Mine certainly does.
